BiobasedCert Final Event

The final event of the BIOBASEDCERT cluster, co-organised by the sister projects HARMONITOR, STAR4BBS, and SUSCERT4BIOBASED with support from the European Commission, brought together a diverse group of 89 participants on the first day and 39 on the second, including policymakers, industry leaders, academia, NGOs, and certification scheme owners.

Hosted at the EC venue, the event highlighted key outcomes of the cluster’s work, focusing on how voluntary sustainability certification systems can support the EU’s transition to a circular bioeconomy. Through thematic sessions, expert panels, and interactive workshops, participants explored topics such as the BIOBASEDCERT Monitoring Tool (BMT), the role of certification in global bio-based value chains, and policy alignment with the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and the Consumer Empowerment Directive. The event concluded with joint policy recommendations, shaped through collaborative dialogue and real-time feedback, aiming to strengthen the credibility, transparency, and policy relevance of certification schemes in the EU bioeconomy landscape.

We warmly thank all participants, stakeholders, and supporters who contributed to the event and the success of the BIOBASEDCERT cluster over the years.

Deliverable 7.1 - Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation Plan

31/10/2022

Dissemination, communication and exploitation activities play a vital role within the HARMONITOR project. The project aims at an adequate and effective dissemination of its results and fluent communication of its activities at every stage during the project lifetime. Exploitation activities aim at ensuring that project results and methodologies are used by policymakers and by the certification and labels community to keep improving their certification schemes and labels (CSLs). The main dissemination and communication tools (website, blogs, social media, participation in renowned conferences, meetings, networking events and workshops, scientific publications, etc.) are listed in detail in this plan. The relationship between tools and the different target groups is explained, alongside suggested indicators for actively monitoring effectiveness.
